A basic sponge cake was used for the base and was baked in an extra large tin, thus coming out “flattish”. I used red icing for the tomato sauce and sprinkled grated white chocolate for the cheese. The salami rounds are dried guava roll, cut into circles and the mushrooms are cut marshmallows. I used cut black fruit gums for the olives and sour strips for the green peppers. The birthday girl was very pleased with the result.
