Farm Party

Farm cake with sheep.  The Party packs were little blue paper gift bags. I pasted my son's handprint on the bag and in the bag was a snack and a small "farmyard" toy for each child.

Pony Party - 5 years

I have just arranged a Pony Party for my little girl's 5th birthday. She's crazy about horses.

The party pack was in a plastic bucket with sweets, chips and a horsey gift. The cake was a carrot cake decorated as a paddock with horses and trees, and I used wafers and pretzel sticks as the fencing. I make awesome caramel toffee appels which were decorated with smarties, hundreds and thousands and jelly tots.

Marie - 2 years

Well this is the party we had! The theme was Marie from Disney's Aristocats,

we made a heart shaped cake with a Marie rice paper picture on it. I made buckets with lots of sweets and little toys in and it had Marie stickers inside as well. The kids really enjoyed that too! The buckets had pink ribbon on and had a Marie sticker on the lid, unfortunately I don't have a picture of that. I bought two cat shaped bowls and painted them and put some glitter on them for the marshmallows. We had a great time - now I need to start planning for birthday number three!

Butterfly Party - 2 years

We chose to have a butterfly party for our daughter because that was the theme of her bedroom at the time, and this made decorating much easier.

I made small bags of coloured pop-corn, pinched and tied in the middle with a pipe-cleaner to form the body and antennae of a butterfly. These were suspended from a tree and looked like a swarm of butterflies hovering over the garden. Each child got a packet to take home.

We ended off with a simple yet very effective looking butterfly birthday cake, made from a double layered, round sponge cake and decorated with bright sweets and icing.
