Kiddies milk and sprinkles drink

 Sprinkles and milk

This is such a great idea for kiddies parties, I think the reason I like this idea so much is because the kiddies can make it themselves and truly enjoy it.

INGREDIENTS:
- milk
- rainbow sprinkles (hundreds and thousands)
- syrup or honey (melting chocolate is also an option)

DIRECTIONS:
1.) Rim a clear glass with syrup or honey (or melted chocolate).
2.) Dip the clear glass in colored sprinkles (hundreds and thousands).
3.) Let sit for 15 minutes (in the fridge for best result).
4.) Fill with cold milk (you can also use chocolate or strawberry Nesquik).
5.) Make a toast to the birthday boy/girl, and make sure your camera batteries are fully charged!

This is very cute and simple little thing to do with a bunch kids and they will never forget the little sprinkles on top of the glass, you'll even have parents asking you after some time  - "my child keeps asking me to make milk and sprinkles, what is that?"

Enjoy.

Super Quick Sponge Bob on a budget

This is a quick an easy way of decorating a baked or bought cake.

If you want a photo / picture cake but can't afford the printed rice paper, then take your picture to be laminated.  Then all you do is ice your cake!  Remember to ice the top of the cake before placing the picture on top, to prevent your picture sliding off your cake.  For the final transformation simply ice around the border and around the picture.

Quick and easy, and it still looks good.  Just remember to take the plastic off before cutting the cake!

Useful Tip: If you do not want to bake the cake yourself, but want to decorate it as above, then you can check with your local Spar or Checkers to see if they sell pre-made sponge cakes that you can ice)

1st Birthday

A quick "renovation".

A small party and a small in-expensive cake was needed. So off I went to the Home Industry up the road. I bought a Bar-One cake (I don't trust my own baking), then went to Crazy Store and bought speckled eggs and a cute fairy wall hanger. I bought the birthday girl's name letters at Baby City and placed them on the cake (propping them up against the fairy wall hanger). I then added the speckled egg border and a candle - the "renovation" was complete!

Gordon - 6 yrs

Gordon is part of the family - he gets a cake every year - he turned 6 here, and we got a small cake from the local Spar and put some candles on it.  We as usual enjoyed the cake on his behalf (he only gets a tiny bit - not good for him)
