Marshmallow Teacups

INGREDIENTS


• 1 packet marie biscuits



• 1 packet white and pink marshmallows




• 1 packet life savers



• Icing sugar



• Chocolate

• Sprinkles





DIRECTIONS

• Cut life savers in half.

• make up icing sugar with water into a thick paste.

• put icing onto bottom of marie biscuit (in a colour of your choice).

• Put some icing on the bottom of the marshmallow and place it onto the already iced biscuit.

• put icing onto cut sides of life savers and stick onto sides of marshmallows like a handle.

• Melt chocolate and put on top of each marshmallow and place sprinkles on top.

• continue until all are done and enjoy!

Princess Party - 3 years

For her third birthday, we planned my daughter a princess party.

Food: Once the children had collected their treasures we went inside for a royal feast! There was a variety of pink and purple sweets gathered in a cellophane packet tied with a pink curling ribbon for each child as well as golden goblet juice (apple juice) served with a straw sporting a crown decal.

Cars - 3 years

For my youngest son’s 3rd birthday, he wanted a Cars birthday.

Using ice-cream cones, Marie biscuits and orange icing I was able to make “road cones”. We had Checkered flag biscuits on the table as well as chips, chomps and jelly “racing car” sweets to nibble.

As a party favour, each child got some Cars play-dough. I bought small plastic containers from the Plastics-shop, and Cars stickers. I then made a bulk amount of red play-dough and filled the containers. I found a recipe for play dough a few years ago in the “Growing up with a Smile” book by Liz Senior & Karen Hopkins. To make your own play-dough you will need:

· 2 cups of flour
· 1 cup of salt
· 4 tablespoons cream of tartar
· 2 cups of water
· 2 tablespoons oil
· Food colouring
Mix dry ingredients, add water and oil. Mix to make a dough. Place in a saucepan on a low heat. Add two drops of food colouring. Stir until the dough pulls away from the pan. Knead to spread the colour. Store in an airtight container.

Thomas the Tank Engine - 3 years

When our son turned 3 years old, he loved Thomas-the-Tank Engine & friends.

Of course, no party box would be complete without one or two munchies. We tried to keep the sweets to a minimum and served pizza, sandwiches and chips as an alternative to a table covered in sugar! The pizzas and sandwiches were cut into train shapes using a cookie cutter. Instead of fizzy drinks we diluted apple and grape juice. The cake was made by a local Party Company. It was a plain square sponge cake with a Thomas picture on the top. To finish it off, we had a plastic train and train track around the cake. A good time was had by all, and even though I tried to keep the sugar highs to a minimum - the kids still went home buzzing with excitement.
